2019 FAL Q1 Goals

It's time to set some goals for 2019.  Linking to Q1 FAL 2019.  My list is long, but I am ready to finish some of these projects that have been on the back burner.  Bear with me on this long post.  These are in no priority order.

Bonnie Hunter's 2018 Quiltville Mystery, Good Fortune.  I have one row done and all of the clues done except for the grand reveal.  I'll plug along on these throughout the quarter.

Box Kite, another Bonnie Hunter pattern.  I attended her workshop in 2017.  I have many blocks to make yet.

My OMG (one main goal) for January (at Elm Street quilts) is this lovely Pat Sloan QA.  It is called Summer Solstice.  RED is the color this month for the RSC19.  Win win!  It's time to make a back.

Since 2019 looks like it may have a string craze happening.  I played with these pink strings that I made back in February of 2014 for the RSC14.  Here's the start of this little  crib quilt

Soul Searching -- A dear friend, Julianne, and I decided to make Soul Searching blocks into a top and then swap tops.
Bonnie Hunter's Garden Party.  This quilt was another RSC project.  I started it 3.18.17.

Little Letters QA.  This was an RSC14 project.
Catchin' Some Rays needs to be scheduled on the longarm.
I won this during the orphan adoption from Cathy who blogs at Cathy's CRAZY BY DESIGN.  It's the Dot Dot Dash Bag

I'd like to continue working on my Gypsy Wife quilt.  It's organized and in a bag.  I saw on Instagram that there is a group working on four blocks a month.  That may be squeezed in as I complete more quilts.  I have a few blocks made.  I started it in 2017.

This embroidery quilt is now quilted.  It needs binding.

I have tons of leftover batting from different projects.  Using my Accuquilt strip die, I can cut strips of fabric and batting quickly and accurately.  I got the jelly roll pattern.  I can cut my fabric easily as well.  This will be a great winter cutting project for our son.  He'll love picking out colors and fabrics.

I'd like to make at least three more zippy pouches in fabrics of my son's choice.  This is what I made for him before Christmas.

Sonja's Windows are string blocks that I made on 1.1.15.  I would like to complete this quilt before I start another string quilt, although Bonnie Hunter's Sand Castles is really calling my name!
Fortune Teller (Started in 2014 for the RSC14.)

Amanda Murphy design quilt.  This quilt was part of an ugly fabric challenge.  I LOVE the fabrics that my swap partner sent to me.  This quilt needs to be a little wider, quilted, and bound.
Pumpkins & the Beanstalk II.  I have tons of blocks and leaves already cut for a second quilt because I changed my mind and finished the first one in crib size.  I have enough blocks cut for a lap size.
Kite Girl (Also started in 2014 for the RSC14.)

Go 4 It scrappy 4-patch quilt, an RSC17 project in which I made 4-patches of the monthly color.

You are going to be a very busy person this year. My favorite of all the UFQ's is Garden Party, I love that pattern. Happy stitching!

So many beautiful projects!!! You might check out Rachel/Stitched In Color, her blog or IG, as she and another gal are hosting a new Gypsy Wife sewalong! Might help that project move along!

Wow, I just say: Good luck! Thanks for reminding me about Little letters. Maybe I can find it for next quarter to finish.

You can do it! I particularly love the two half finished tops, both set on point.

Thank you for participating in the FAL, on behalf of the 2019 global FAL hosts.

Good luck getting these done.
