Slow Sunday Stitching

More blue floss was mindlessly stitched this week while waiting.  It started like this:

I watched Owen have a cavity filled.  His pediatric dentist office gives him the royal treatment... They dim the lights and make it calm.  If the overhead light is used he gets sunglasses.  They put a pillow under his knees.  He gets a blanket.  They know what epic SpongeBob movie he wants to see.  They even give him a drink with the dentist tool!  OMG he's so spoiled there!  He even asked for a blanket...  Totally different from my experience when I was a kid.  Oh, and did I mention the prize ROOM?  It's huge!  He got glow sticks, sugar free suckers, a toy, a huge pillow to take home... Spoiled!

I didn't do as well on these rows due to the darkness of the dental room.  It will never be noticed in the grand scheme of things.  I think they look fine.

Wow.. much different from the dentist I remember too! My kids dentist has a Thomas the train track table setup, video games, books, coloring area while waiting and other fun things to do while 'back there' with the hygenist and dentist. I get to be in the waiting room now where there is always a Disney movie playing. The kids are comfy back there now so I only had to go back with them the first couple of times.....

I hated the dentist as a kid, but my current dentist was very patient with my own kids and they never minded going. They didn't have the "treat"ment that your son gets though. Wow. Your stitching looks very pretty. Printed cross-stitch has its own somewhat wonky look that never really shows in the long run. Now that I work on mostly counted cross-stitch, I have difficulty with the uneven-ness of printed cross-stitch. I have one in progress, that I tend to avoid. I really like watching yours grow though.

I have never heard about dentists like this. It is amazing. I still hate going to the dentist.
You stitchery is so beautiful! :-)

I didn't have a dentist when I was growing up. Wow. Nice one.
Love your cross stitch. I have the supplies to attempt a cross stitch project. Looking forward to a cross stitch adventure.
Thank you for visiting my RSC Crayon Quilt blog post and leaving a nice comment. I love this rainbow challenge.

I had a nice dentist, but not that kind of treatment. My children had nice dentists, but not that nice! There was a prize box for the younger one, at least! I don't think anyone will notice anything different about the stitches. I can't tell at all.
