Scrap Saturday -- Brown!

Happy Scrap Saturday.

This week I played with scraps and planned to make nine snail trail blocks for the Block Lotto.  Well, there was this little incident where I was not able to sleep combined with some sewing, and a good movie (Jurassic World) and I managed to make four qualifying blocks and four CRAFT FAIL blocks.

  1. Oops! (I've done that, too! I claimed that the snails had been tippling and it was a Drunkard's Path/Snail's Trail mash-up.)

  3. LOL, that is what seam rippers are for! Maybe you should save them and do a CRAFT FAIL quilt? I could probably contribute lots to that one!! Anyway, I happen to like them all. :-)

  4. Snail's Trail is one of those blocks that you have to be VERY careful when sewing. I've made a mess of them, too. At least your operating at 50%... it COULD have been worse!!

  5. Your experience confirms my decision to never do a Snail's Trail. Also because I had too many yucky snail and slug experiences on the West Coast.

  6. Darn snails. The whole spiral thing can be tricky I guess.

  7. Oops! Snails trail is lovely but hard to keep everything going in the right direction.

  8. Love your Snails Trail and I must say that the Fail blocks look pretty cool too. Perhaps you have a new invention there.

  9. Well, that's no fun! You must have been paying more attention to the movie and not the sewing!!
