December RSC14

The weeks are winding down for the 2014 Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  December is catch-up month.  Angela must know us put-it-off quilters that need this time.  While others are putting together their quilts, I am just catching up blocks to my scrappy churn dash quilt.

Yesterday I was supposed to be cutting my fabrics for Bonnie Hunter's 2014 Mystery -- Grand Illusion.  While I had my pinks and blacks on the table I figured that I might as well cut the fabrics needed (in pink) for the remainder pink churn dashes.  As usual, one thing lead to another and before you know it I totally abandoned my GIMQ and cut ALL of the remaining churn dash blocks for my churn dash quilt.  Woot Woot!!!

Here are all of the green ones I needed for the quilt:

Green is my favorite color.  But now I have a favorite shade.  See the one in the bottom left corner?  It's POISON APPLE GREEN!!!!  Oh how I love that color.  Some day I'll make that the constant fabric in a quilt.  YUMMY!!!

I'm linking up with Angela at ScrapHappy blog. for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, 2014.

Oh, and here's what our silly elf, Chippy, and Barbie did today.  It was a rainy Ohio day and my son needed a little extra activity to keep him busy.  Not only was he excited to find Chippy AND the candy canes, he was REALLY excited to fill out this chart and do a little math that he didn't realize he was doing!  He's in first grade.

The reason why one of the lines is only a half is because I think the dog ate part of it.  LOL.

Look at how fast you got all those green blocks done! Poison apple green sounds like a great constant for a quilt.

I'm so far behind on my RSC blocks but hopefully after the holidays I'll get caught up and them made into a quilt.
