Did you have leftovers after an Easter gathering? We did. Yum. Yesterday after the crowd disbursed I worked on putting these little leftover pieces together.
I turned them into this:
These bold-colored fabrics were left over from a 2014 project called Classic Meets Modern. It was a quilt along. These little pieces were all of what was left from this (except I still have some of the background fabric.). Hopefully I'll have enough of the background fabric for sashing and an inner border. Now that I'm taking a second look at these blocks, I'm starting to like them again. :)
I don't know what I'll do with the little quilt top that I made with the hourglass pieces. It only measures 27" x 33" ish. I'm not really in to wall hangings of this sort. Maybe it will be a car seat blanket or cover a dresser somewhere. It certainly doesn't match anything that I can think of.

Just getting those leftover blocks into a top is a win! Maybe you could add another border to the hourglass blocks to make it a baby quilt size.
