Old Guild Quilt on the Frame

This week I'm working on this older quilt guild quilt.  It was in the to-be-quilted pile for a long time at our guild clubhouse.  The guild president gave it to me and told me to donate it when I got it done.

It is about 1" shorter than the Warm & Natural batting which is 90" wide.  The quilt does not lay flat.  I am quilting it with just simple big circles that are small enough for the batting manufacture's suggestion.

The fabric is a really pretty paisly print.  I found a big chunk of wide back cheater fabric that has a double wedding ring print on it for the back.  Besides working in the fullness of this quilt, it should quilt quickly.

I have quilted those type of quilts - the ones with extra fullness. They can ber a challenge! Using that big circle is a great solution for working that in!

This will be a very nice compassion quilt. I can't believe how much quilting you've accomplished this winter so far! Happy stitching!

It is hard to quilt a quilt that all kind of weirdness going on. I guess that is why I hardly quilt anyone else's unless it is a personal friend's need or my heartstrings get pulled. Doing a great job!

Good job on a problem quilt, someone will be thrilled to have it.
