Spring Sampler @ Cora's Quilts -- Block 4
Here's block 4 for the Spring Sampler at Cora's Quilts. It's called Around the Corner.
Friday Finish 5.23.14
This week I was able to have another finish for our local quilt guild. Here's one of the Thomas the Train quilt panels that I longarmed and finished. I used a wavy line pattern for the simple quilting. I quilted it in red thread with a white back.
I'm happy to link up today's finish with Richard and Tanya Quilts for the Link-A-Finish FRIDAY.

Cheater Drunkard's Path -- Building Blocks QA
This month we were to make three "cheater" Drunkard's Path blocks for the Building Blocks QA. This block is a little out of my comfort zone. I am happy with making curves. This block just appliques the curved part over the block. Leah Day says that it will give the quilt more interest and texture. Here's my three blocks:

WIP Wednesday 5.21.14
Happy Hump Day. Here's what happened this week:
I finished the second panel quilt for the local quilt guild.

I adopted two more charity quilt panels from my local quilt guild and loaded them on the frame. Oops... my WIP count went up two more! I don't expect them to be on the list for long.

I finished (somewhat) the Yoshi block for the Cora's Quilts Mario BOM. I say somewhat because there are a few blocks in the corner that are not right-- I didn't print my pattern in color and have to change about 10 blocks or so. It's not really that noticeable. Here's the 648 1.5" blocks (1" finished).

I only made one little green block for the RSC14.

Thomas is on the Frame
I adopted two more panel quilts from my LQG to quilt and finish. I was happy to find that they were still in one piece and someone put some extra fabric around the edges to make longarming easier. I am quilting them with simple waves.
The backing is just plain white. This time I am experimenting with quilting with red thread and a white background so that you can really see the quilting on the back. So far, so good! Oops... my WIP count just went up by two again!
