I used my Accuilt BOB (block on board) Tree of Life die to put these blocks together. I got this die a couple of years ago on a Black Friday deal. When I went to set the blocks with setting triangles, I didn't have enough width of the fabric to make them. I didn't feel like doing the math or cutting a paper template to cut pieces out of the fabric I had. So I set them like this and went with it:
I only have five school work days left this year. I'm hoping to get this quilted tonight so that I can get it into my school bag for binding. Our son only has four days due to exams. He's so excited.

Super idea to set your trees that way and not to have to cut more fabric.

There sure are a lot of pieces in those blocks! This will make a cute little quilt! Where did the year go?
