I'm working on embroidering the stems and kite strings on my kite girl blocks. Red is done! The other two still need kite strings. This is fun. It's also fun to look at the pictures and try to remember where I was when I did them. I love my "sew to go" bag!
I made these Kite Girl blocks during the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) in 2014. It is an old WIP or UFO (Work in Progress or Unfinished Object.) The block is made from 2" squares. The block pattern can be found at Q is for Quilter blog.

ReplyDeleteVery cute blocks. Hope you made some more progress with the slow stitching this today.
ReplyDeleteYour embroidery finishes off your blocks quite nicely
ReplyDeleteOh, I thought you were quilting them now! I made mine with 1.5 inch squares and made 12 which are sewn into a UFO top. I have the embroidery done I am just uncertain as to how I'm going to quilt it so I thought I'd see what you were up to.
