Cool Chicks

Have you ever tried to take pictures of chicks?  These chicks are about three weeks old.  They LOVE watermelon.  When you throw a quilt down and hope to get a picture, they run onto the quilt, take a bite of watermelon, poop, go crazy, and run off the quilt. 

But it's fun to join in on the fun at Lily Pad Quilting: Pets on Quilts.  We are considered the "other pets" category.  There are also categories for cats, dogs, and pet-themed quilts.


These two chicks remain nameless right now.  They are dining on my Star Light, Star Bright QA quilt that I did with Melissa Cory at Happy Quilting.  You can read more about it here.

    Kathy, you are just a hoot a minute! I'm still laughing about you imitating your rooster when he sees a hawk and now you have me laughing all over again about the poop and run chicks. I hope you were able to get the quilt washed up nice again.

    I've heard that chicks are wonderful companions with a lot more personality than the uninitiated would expect -- yours seem to prove it's true! And what the heck, poop happens! :)
