One of them was Welcome Home ~~ Surround Yourself with Country Warmth, by Cheryl Wall. Cheryl got my attention with the adorable house blocks made from shirtings. I've been dying to get into my plaid/shirtings scrap bin. It's over full.
Here's the block I made for Cheryl's pattern, Welcome Home Sampler Quilt. It's the first one in the book. It's a step-by-step instruction. I'll need to read a little ahead to streamline the cutting process.
I'm linking up at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.
It's a beautiful block and it will be fun to watch your progress as you continue along ! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! All of my bins are over-full! When I use some of the fabric, it just seems to fluff up the remaining fabric and it still looks over-full! Have fun stitching today!
ReplyDeleteI love the block! Do you like working with the homespuns?
ReplyDeleteYour block is beautiful. What a great way to use shirting material.

ReplyDeleteLove the fabrics in your block. They remind me of growing up in VT and home comfort. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! It looks like the sunflower is raining love on the home! Ahhh..... :)
ReplyDeleteLove how the sunflower is bigger than the house... so whimsical!
