This week I got all the green of the stem and leaf done. C & T Publishing keeps sending me these super tempting e-mails. They have been having $5 blowout sales on books. I bought a few. Visit the site each Friday for their $5 Blowout Deals.
One of them was Welcome Home ~~ Surround Yourself with Country Warmth, by Cheryl Wall. Cheryl got my attention with the adorable house blocks made from shirtings. I've been dying to get into my plaid/shirtings scrap bin. It's over full.
Here's the block I made for Cheryl's pattern, Welcome Home Sampler Quilt. It's the first one in the book. It's a step-by-step instruction. I'll need to read a little ahead to streamline the cutting process.
I'm also linking up with Kathy's Quilts. It's Slow Sunday Stitching day here!
That block is looking really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the CT sale link - I passed it on to our quilt guild 'name draw' gift person for possible pick ups. The block is coming along nicely. Using Slow Sunday is perfect for completing hand work.
ReplyDeleteGreat block! I love primitive projects that allow you to repurpose.
ReplyDeleteLove your block and the shirtings were perfect for it.
ReplyDeleteFun! Are you making the sunflower next??
ReplyDeleteI have the Welcome Home book but have not made the quilt. I did another of her quilt designs that was vert similar so I have not had the motivation to make this one. You are doing very good on yours.
ReplyDeleteI bought that book at one of their previous sales and look forward to making something from it. Thanks for the peek at your progress!
ReplyDeleteVery cute block! I've purchased way too many books from the $5 Blowout Deals--I should probably stop shopping and make something from one of them!
ReplyDeleteI love house quilts!
ReplyDeleteI can't find your e-mail - please get in touch with me - you are the July Let's Book It Winner
