This week I played with scraps and planned to make nine snail trail blocks for the Block Lotto. Well, there was this little incident where I was not able to sleep combined with some sewing, and a good movie (Jurassic World) and I managed to make four qualifying blocks and four CRAFT FAIL blocks.
Linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for the RSC16. Check out all the scrappy deliciousness!
Oops! (I've done that, too! I claimed that the snails had been tippling and it was a Drunkard's Path/Snail's Trail mash-up.)
ReplyDeleteuhoh! what a bummer! hope you can salvage them....
ReplyDeleteLOL, that is what seam rippers are for! Maybe you should save them and do a CRAFT FAIL quilt? I could probably contribute lots to that one!! Anyway, I happen to like them all. :-)
ReplyDeleteSnail's Trail is one of those blocks that you have to be VERY careful when sewing. I've made a mess of them, too. At least your operating at 50%... it COULD have been worse!!
ReplyDeleteYour experience confirms my decision to never do a Snail's Trail. Also because I had too many yucky snail and slug experiences on the West Coast.
ReplyDeleteDarn snails. The whole spiral thing can be tricky I guess.
ReplyDeleteOops! Snails trail is lovely but hard to keep everything going in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteLove your Snails Trail and I must say that the Fail blocks look pretty cool too. Perhaps you have a new invention there.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's no fun! You must have been paying more attention to the movie and not the sewing!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess sometimes that's the way the escargot goes!
