Spring 2026 Ravelry UFO Club -- The List
Last quarter was pretty productive with 13 finishes. A few new things were added to the list so that I can have a productive quarter of finishing UFOs. Some of these projects have been on the list for a bit. I honestly say that I have been motivated to finish project with a UFO group on Ravelry. Joy that blogs at The Joyful Quilter, updates the finish board beautifully. You can still join in on the group fun at https://www.ravelry.com/discuss/quilters-knitting/4400962/1-25#1 Hurry, it closes 4/7. You need to have five UFO projects have been started that need finished.
1. Bitcoin Double Sized Quilt-- have cut strips in multi-colored fabrics (fabrics that are more than one color and don't fit into a specific color family bin for sorting purposes.) I have several strips sewn together in anothe strip bin.
2. Rail Fence 3.5" blocks-- need 900 blocks for this quilt. I have to count them and clip sets together.
6. Hourglass Mini -- I have all the cut off left over pieces sewn into hour glass blocks:
7. Maroon Sampler -- Stale project due to lack of interest right now now. This quilt is a combination of different sampler quilts. I want to say this was around 2013ish for some of the first blocks. I need to count to see how many I have and go from there.
8. Dicey--I made these blocks so that I could do a few things -- learn how to applique circles using my Applipops, use miscellaneous neutrals, use the Accuquilt chisel die that I seldom use. Mission accomplished. The next step is to iron out all of the Frixion pen applique placement marks, cut 1.5" sashing strips. This will be a 6x8 layout. I'm waiting for longarm season to be done due to cold weather in the room so that I can settle down to my winter piecing.
9. Fireflys wall hanging -- I started this 9/22/25. It is a simple applique project that will be in my sew-to-go kit for school. Background fabrics have been selected and cut to size. Other fabrics have been selected. Stem pieces have been cut and sewn into long strips but not sewn onto the background yet. Scrappy blues have been selected for the rail fence blocks but not cut yet. HST's will be a constant gold that matches the flower center and flower bud.
10. The red basket blocks were made into this 42" x 59.5" flimsy. It is next to get quilted.
11. The disappearing 9-patch blocks were put into this 42" square AND quilted!
12. HST Quilt, Three Six Nine RSC22 -- (needs more HST made and rows completed) -- This project is a hot mess because I sewed some of the colors together as leader/enders and now I'mlosing interest due to the fact that some of the rows are together and I don't know where I am exactly on the pattern.
13. The house and other misc. red blocks were put into this 43.5" square AND quilted:
14. Fish -- only two blocks are sewn -- need 12 fish total
15. Scarborough Fair -- more blocks need to be made. Hope to continue as an RSC26 project.
16. Random Blue Blocks -- in the hoop, but a long ways to go. Three blocks quilted. It's in a duffle bag ready to grab and go on a road trip if one happens.
17. Acorn Harvest -- Stalled because I'm afraid to cut the pieces apart. Embroidery is done.
18. Horsen Around flimsy is complete. It measures about 45" x 56". Needs a back and quilted.
19. Horsen Around scraps from Linda -- some snowball blocks have been made.
20. Using my Accuquilt BOB schoolhouse die, I hope to work on pink schoolhouse blocks during the pink RSC month. I need another girly quilt. I made a blue one of these a while back. It turned out cute. I need 12 blocks for a 35" x 42" quilt.
22. Christmas Memories
23. Dinner Party Crib Quilt in novelty school fabric-- big pieces are cut.
Layer Cake Lattice in pink -- This is a new project. I started it this week 4/4/26. I wanted to use some pink scraps to play along with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge at SoScrappy. Eight blocks are made. This quilt will be as big as the white dot fabric runs out.
25. True Blue -- all base blocks are sewn. I'm adding the strip-pieced corners to them.
26. Zip It -- I started this quilt this year in a facebook group. Emma Jean Jenson designed the pattern and started the sew along. It is quilted. It is my current "in the back seat of the truck" project. I am hand stitching the binding while waiting on something...
27. Classic Meets Modern QA from 2014. This quilt along was at https://www.sewathomemummy.com/
28. King Rosebud was embroidered by my grandma around 1973ish. It is in the hand-stitched binding stage. It gets moved from living room chair to living room chair. I stitch on it on Wednesday nights while watching Survivor and once in a while if I am watching a movie. Here it is in a clump.
29, 30, & 31. Kathleen Tracy Sampler Block Minis (Table Toppers 1, 2, & 3)
32. Cheddar Jack -- cat blocks are sewn, some of the 2.5" scrappy squares are sewn together but not in rows. I need more 2.5" scrappy blocks cut.
1. Bit Con quilt -- Needs more rows of strips sewn together -- size yet to be determined
2. Rail Fence 3.5" RSC block -- 900 blocks needed/need arranged

RSC26 -- Red Progress
Before moving on to pink this month, I worked on putting together RED blocks for March to get them closer to a finish. I had a productive spring break week.
The red basket blocks were made into this 42" x 59.5" flimsy. It is next to get quilted.
The disappearing 9-patch blocks were put into this 42" square AND quilted!
The house and other misc. red blocks were put into this 43.5" square AND quilted:
I put a red dot binding on the two quilted quilts. They will be in my sew-to-go bag in the next couple of weeks. I'm linking up at Angela's blog, SoScrappy, for the RSC26.

Horsen Around Crib Flimsy
I finished putting together this crib quilt yesterday evening. It measures about 45" x 56". I actually followed the pattern for once. I'm not used to working with coordinating quality fabrics. What fun.
The quilt pattern is called Dinner Party. You can see it here at the Fat Quarter Shop. In July of 2022, Linda--who blogs at Art in Search asked me if I wanted the scraps left over from her Purple, Black & Horses quilt. During the last three years I have been patiently waiting for the right pattern to come along to show off some of the horse prints she sent to me. Some of the fabrics had "Horsen Around" on the salvage. I hope to have this finished by the end of this quarter. It will be a nice summer "girly" quilt.

Horsen Around Dinner Party Crib Quilt Progress
It's cold and rainy outside today. I think I'll focus on putting this crib quilt together.

Red Basket Blocks
I decided set my red basket blocks on point and make them a 6-block quilt. It measures 42" x 59.5".
These blocks were made before I was an Accuquilt girl. In fact, because I won an Accuquilt Baby Go! and I was making this quilt is the reason that I became an Accuquilt girl. I quickly realized the importance of the 1/4" seam around that time as well. Those two reasons are why this project came to an abrupt halt.
I'm sooooo glad I kept all the WOW background fabric with the blocks. It's one of my favorite white-on-white prints from Keepsake Calico. Oh how I do miss going into Joanne Fabrics every once in a while.
Thankfully Kim Jolly has an On Point Setting Cheat Sheet at the Fat Quarter Shop (currently free PDF download when I wrote this post). I'm not really an on-point kind of quilter most days unless the pattern is seriously spelled out for me like a Bonnie Hunter quilt. I just don't like cutting big blocks into diagonal pieces. But I did it! Woohoo! Add a new skill to my "okay" list.
This is my last set of red blocks that I have to make into a project. I feel that I accomplished my goal. Now off to the longarm room. It's a nice 70 degrees outside today. I didn't miss a beat during the winter quilting months this year because my husband was working on a project in the other house and had to keep it at a warmer temp. Next year (hopefully) I'll be in the NEW quilting room that can easily be heated by throwing a few logs in the wood burner. Actually, it got a little hot up in that room! Woohoo. Right now my husband is working in the attached FULL bathroom next to the sewing room. I'll eventually get pics. Stay tuned.

TWO New Crib Quilts
With the 13 finishes I had the first quarter, it's time to start a couple of new projects that have been on my list in my brain. The quilt pattern is called Dinner Party. You can see it here at the Fat Quarter Shop.
This will definitely be a non-directional quilt. I thought I had all the horses going the way I wanted until I realized that I did not have the blocks turned correctly on one of the prints which will be four of the twelve blocks. I had enough of the purple paisley in my scraps to use as the background fabric. I think it's perfect for it. Thank you, Linda, for the beautiful, quality scraps. They are so much fun to fluff through.
Linda also sent me her bonus triangles and little scraps. There will be another quilt of some sort made with these fabrics. I had to wait to find this pattern so that I could showcase the bigger prints.
In July of 2022, Linda--who blogs at Art in Search asked me if I wanted the scraps left over from her Purple, Black & Horses quilt. During the last three years I have been patiently waiting for the right pattern to come along to show off some of the horse prints she sent to me. Finally!
This week I used a school themed novelty print for the back of a red/white/blue quilt with a house in the center. You can see it on my blog post here. I had the school themed print for a while. Someone gave it to me. I really couldn't find a good place to use it and figured it would land on the back of a quilt that I would give to someone at school. After I trimmed the quilt I thought WOW! this might be the right print to use on the Dinner Party pattern.
You can see a pic of the quilt pattern with these fabrics in the pic. I'm not sure what background it will have yet. I might try to mix it up a bit, but I'm not sure how I'll do it just yet. This novelty print came from VIP Fabrics. Remember that chain in the late 80's or early 90's?
So there you have it, two new projects to go on the 2nd Quarter UFO list when I make it.
D9P (Disappearing 9-Patch) Crib Quilt Is Quilted
Spring break week had another productive day. I quilted the D9P crib quilt. It measures 40" square. Red, polka dot binding is already made. Let's bind!
