WIP Wednesday 10.1.14

Whohoo!  October!  October is one of my favorite months.  But that also means that it's only a matter of time before Bonnie Hunter announces what colors of scraps will be needed for the 2014 mystery quilt that starts around Thanksgiving.  That lit a mini fire under me to work on my Celtic Solstice blocks.  I made some progress on them this week!  Here's a row, but before I continue I need to take it to the longarm and make sure it's going to fit.  I may have to change it to a 9 x 9 setting.  11 x 11 plus borders will be HUGE.  I need a panoramic view shot!

I am working on finishing my Market Day Sew Along mini.  Hoping for a Friday Finish.

I made an orange kite girl block for the RSC14.  Here she is (bottom right) with all her friends so far.

I played with my Accuquilt kite die and some orange, grey, black/white, and pink scraps.

Still with the RSC14 with the orange bag of scraps handy, I made an improv log cabin block.

Just because I had a need to make a block one day last week with little time, I played with my 2.5" finished HST Accuquilt die and made this broken dishes block.  Gotta love red/white quilts!

These little blocks are so addicting! This is the pattern that is free at Jo's Country Junction blog.  It's called Scrumptious Butter Churn.  You can find the pattern here.  The blocks are 7.5". I made them as leaders/enders between other blocks.

My WIP count this week is still 37.  My WIP goal for New Years Day 2015 is 19.  I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday!
