I finished the binding on the 94" x 104" Card Trick quilt. Doesn't it look so soft? It is. I'm thrilled with the Circle Lord Wanders giant template board quilting on this as well.
Next up to quilt in the living room by the tv is this beautiful Cameo Rose quilt embroidered by my Grandma in 1973ish. The binding is being attached! I chose the same fabric for the binding that is used for the backing. I didn't want anything to take center stage away from all the beautiful embroidery.
Here's a pic of the quilt top if you didn't see this post.
I'm linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching here.

Lovely work on these, Kathy--what an heirloom your Grandmother's embroidered quilt is;))) hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWonderful to finish what your Grandmother started! My grandmother used to make embroidered quilts too...she gave us one as a wedding gift. Enjoy slow stitching that binding.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful quilt! Will you be using the quilt on your bed or will it have a place of honor on a wall? Happy stitching in 2026!
ReplyDeleteYour Grandma's quilt top is a beauty! I have something similar that my grandma embroidered, too - mine is all blue. Enjoy your quilting time!
ReplyDeleteMy mother had that same rose quilt. My sister has it now as she had gifted mom the kit for Christmas one year. Such a beautiful quilt and a treasure from your grandmother.
